Meredith Edmondson began working with glass in 2005, discovering a deep connection to the material during a visit to the Appalachian Center for Craft, where she earned her BFA in 2009. Her practice explores the dynamic interplay of pattern and color through both blown and fused glass techniques, creating compositions that are as visually intricate as they are emotionally resonant. Edmondson’s work celebrates transformation—of material, form, and perception—giving rise to pieces that transcend their materiality.
Currently, she is developing a new body of work supported by grants, working primarily through artist residencies. Each piece she creates reflects a fusion of influences from architecture, textiles, and the visual arts, inviting viewers to explore, interpret, and connect with the boundless possibilities of glass artistry. In addition to her studio practice, she remains committed to teaching and regularly shares her knowledge through workshops and educational programs, engaging the next generation of glass artists.
